DramaFest 2022 will be held virtually once again, happening May 5th-7th, 2022.

In 2020 DramaFest as planned by Matchstick was unfortunately forced to cancel due to the COVID pandemic. The next year in 2021 the Fest pivoted to a Virtual format, championed by coordinators Naomi Vogt and Adrianna Loewen.
We’ll be excited to welcome everyone back online for one more year. Please stay safe and we’ll see you in the digital realm real soon!

2019 was our most recent in-person High School DramaFest, and the Matchstick team was thrilled to be hired on as the official coordinators for their first year. DramaFest is an intensive weekend for high school students involving all things Drama and Theatre! Open to students and teachers from across the province, DramaFest offers master-classes, performances, more than 25 workshop options, and creative opportunities for high school students led by local theatre community professionals. 2019’s Fest was a rousing success, and you can see pictures below of the amazing time everyone had.
